It's always a privilege to run into artist, Malcah Zeldis. She is not only one of my favorite artists but also one of the wisest women I have ever known. In contemplating the power of style as we age she says, "As you grow older you sometimes have a greater fear of dying, but when you look well, you think to yourself, I’m not gonna die. You are closer to your death than ever before, but if you look so good than how can you be close to death? Maybe that's what's behind looking good. You will outsmart death and death will be in love with you and not want to take you."-Malcah Zeldis

Bob
Bob is one of the best dressed fellows in town. I saw a photo of him on the Fine and Dandy Shop instagram feed a few weeks back and have been inspired by his dapper duds ever since. It was a great treat to finally run into him a few days ago. We made a date to chat about style and take a few new photos!

It was a cold and rainy Saturday in New York when I got the crazy idea to escape south for a day. Eight hours later, I arrived at Beatrix Ost and Ludwig Kuttner's incredible Estouteville Farm outside Charlottesville, Virgina. Painted trees, mystical wooden caves, and fields of daffodils filled my gaze as I entered their magical property. Beatrix and a gang of wagging dogs greeted me with hugs and kisses before setting out on a tour of the magnificent grounds. After a quick rest, I joined Ludwig for an exploration of the inside of the home filled with marvelous antiques and Beatrix's incredible paintings and sculptures. Less than 24 hours later I was back on the road, left with artful memories of an enchanted evening.
