Magda's World

Last week I caught up with my friend Magda in her New York City apartment. Magda's colorful wardrobe is an extension of her warm and free spirited personality. Stay tuned for some more photos and style wisdom from one the most creative and inspiring women I have ever met.

Spring has finally arrived on the East Coast and I can't wait to hit the streets and start shooting. Here are two of the Winter looks that got me through last season and will hopefully usher in a beautiful and bright Spring.

The Best Hat on Madison Avenue

I was walking up Madison Avenue when I noticed a gorgeous woman in a red coat and wonderful hat a few blocks ahead. When I finally caught up to her, after a quick jog up Madison, I complimented her hat and asked if I could take her photograph. Not only did I get a bit of exercise, but also a great shot of a stunning woman with a keen eye for accessories.

I met up with Joyce to discuss our travel plans for The Advanced Style Documentary. She only had a few minutes as she was meeting a friend for dinner. Doesn't she look simply marvelous?

Some of you may remember Magda from a shoot I did with her last October. The first time I met her she was on the subway dressed in a colorful suit, wonderful jewelry, and hair full of dazzling butterflies and flowers. I handed her my card and a few weeks later we got together to take some photographs. Yesterday, I met up with Magda again and we did a fun shoot in her gorgeous apartment. I can't wait to share all the photos with everyone next week.

This stunning woman was walking with her equally dapper husband near Madison Avenue, when I stopped to ask if I could take their photograph. Although she tried to convince him to pose for a quick shot, he walked away (you can see him in the distance). He was wearing a beautiful suit with a yellow and green bow tie. Next time I run into them, I'll try my best to get a great photo of this handsome couple.
