New York Style

I met this stunning woman on a very windy day near Madison Avenue. I offered to help her across the street and asked if I could take her photograph. When I asked what inspired her style she replied, " Me, I dress up for me. That part of the day is about me and the rest is about other people. I get dressed up everyday as if I am going to New York City, even though I live here. I know I'm one of the only people in New York who dresses anymore."

Rollerena at The Easter Parade

I always love attending the Easter Parade and seeing how creatively everyone puts themselves together. Studio 54 legend Rollerena is a perennial favorite! Even though I'm usually too busy snapping photos at the parade to stop for a photo, Mangue Banzima from Qui Style, was able to get some shots of me in action below.

Cape Dress

This woman was by far the most elegantly dressed person I saw over Easter weekend. Her stunning cape dress is obviously vintage, and she has probably been wearing it for many years, but it remains in perfect condition. At the risk of sounding like my grandmother -- they just don't make clothes like they used to.
